John Brown was a martyr. He went on a mission to try and free slaves by killing the owners in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. People should have no right to declare human beings as property. He was defending good people, and sane people by killing the people who were taking and treating others very poorly. He tried to free slaves, which can be in no way wrong. He was fighting, for good things, and anyone who believes it is right to hold someone as property, should have serious consequences. If slaves had joined his army, the fight would have lasted even longer and perhaps more people would have died. So, maybe it was a good thing he was unsuccessful, in this mission, but he had a valid point and strong idea to fight for what he believed.
I don't think death is a good consequence for this but I see why you might think it is.
ReplyDeleteHe has a good point he deserved death and maybe it was for the best that he died.
ReplyDeleteI disagree because I think words are stronger than actions because Martin Luther King Jr ended segregation with his words.
ReplyDeleteI think that he did have a good point to die and fight for, but violence can't solve anything. Violence can lead to even more problems
ReplyDeleteU wrong. He used no intellect for saving slaves. He makes all abolitionists look bad. He had awful behavior and acted like a bad boy
ReplyDeleteI agree
ReplyDeletewith Danny
ReplyDeleteI do not completely agree that he was fighting for a good cause but he should have peacefully protested.
ReplyDeleteIt is like Josh wants abolitionists to get a bad rep
ReplyDeleteI completely agree
ReplyDeleteI agree with Josh, not the anonymous
