A martyr is someone who fights for their beliefs. He was a person who fought for his beliefs and wanted to end slavery forever. He risked his life to help stop slavery in the south. He secretly went in the gun house to get the guns and to get slaves to join him to end slavery forever. He was caught and his sons were killed when the marines came. He was executed on Dec. 2, 1859. He was someone who fought for his beliefs. This was okay that he killed lots of people because it was part of his beliefs. He was an abolitionist so he hated slaves. He was a Martyr.
